Synopsis:

This is Jake is a suspense thriller movie about a young aggressive and successful girl named Samantha or ‘Sam’ who meets a guy named Jake at a business event. She is immediately drawn to him and they strike up a friendship that quickly turns into a fiery relationship. However, as Sam introduces Jake to her associates, friends, and family, they seem to disapprove of her decision. Shortly thereafter, strange accidents begin to occur, and Sam’s loved ones or anyone else opposed to her new romance, start to die off one by one. As the police investigate, Jake among others becomes prime suspects. Throughout the movie, Sam’s story arc is one of deception and manipulation. Her relationships with her associates, friends and family are strained as they suspect her involvement in the deaths, but she maintains her innocence. She covers her trail without fail… until the end. Jake's story arc is one of betrayal and realization as he discovers the true nature of Sam’s character. The central conflict of the movie is the internal struggle within Sam as she battles with her own morality and desires coupled with her belief that happiness with Jake should be at any cost. The external conflict is the investigation into the deaths, as the police try to unravel the mystery of the killings and catch the perpetrator. The main plot points of the story include the initial meeting between Sam and Jake, the introduction of Jake to Sam’s associates, friends and family, the first death, the investigation, the suspicion, and the final revelation of Sam’s own guilt. In the end, This is Jake is a riveting thriller that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end. With a shocking twist that turns the narrative on its head, the movie explores the dark places that people are willing to go to obtain what they want, and the consequences that follow.
